Events New South Wales works to position Sydney and New South Wales as a preferred event destination by working with government and industry partners to develop existing events, attract new events and maximise the economic, strategic and community benefits of events.

Rather, we are highly focused on developing events which will best deliver economic, strategic and community benefits for Sydney and New South Wales now and in the long term. We also need to get the balance of cultural, sporting, lifestyle, entertainment and business events right to ensure our future growth as a global destination. Our approach is based on a clear strategic direction, active collaboration with government and industry and creative leveraging to ensure the benefits from events are maximised. Most importantly, we’re building on the excellent international reputation Sydney deservedly enjoys as an event destination. Each year, hundreds of events are held in Sydney and throughout regional New South Wales which showcase the expertise, facilities, creativity, energy and professional excellence which make us a world class city and state. We’re working to ensure Sydney and New South Wales continue to be considered a home of great events. |
